This Referral and Affiliate Program Policy (the “Program Policy”) governs your participation in the SchoolIntel referral or affiliate program (each a “Program”). It supplements the SchoolIntel Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any other agreement between you and SchoolIntel, Inc. (“SchoolIntel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If this Program Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service on a Program-specific issue, this Program Policy controls only for that issue.
By enrolling, applying, or continuing to participate after accepting an updated version, you agree to this Program Policy. If you participate for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. Eligibility and program roles
You must be at least 18 years old, have an active SchoolIntel account in good standing when you enroll or apply, provide accurate information, and be legally able to participate and receive the applicable benefit where you live or operate. SchoolIntel employees, contractors involved in operating the Program, and persons restricted by law or sanctions are not eligible unless SchoolIntel approves them in writing.
You may hold only one Program role at a time:
- A Referrer may earn promotional SchoolIntel credits under Section 4.
- An Affiliate may earn cash commission under Sections 5 and 6.
Existing SchoolIntel customers may self-enroll as Referrers after accepting the current Program Policy. Affiliates must apply and receive written or in-product approval from a SchoolIntel master administrator before their affiliate link can earn commission. Application does not guarantee approval.
You may not switch roles yourself. SchoolIntel may approve a role change only after pending referral rewards are earned or rejected, commissions and adjustments are paid or voided, no open payout batch refers to your account, and you accept the policy applicable to the new role. Historical transactions remain associated with the role and Program version under which they arose.
Program participation does not create employment, agency, franchise, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, sales-representative, or authority-to-bind relationship. You are responsible for your own activities, personnel, expenses, registrations, licenses, and legal compliance.
2. Program links and attribution
SchoolIntel will provide an approved Program link after enrollment or approval. The link is assigned to you. You may not sell, transfer, sublicense, share account access to, or obscure the source of the link. SchoolIntel may rotate, disable, or replace a link for security, abuse, suspension, or operational reasons.
Both Programs use one attribution rule: the first valid Program-link click in the 90 days before a new-account signup receives attribution. A later Program click does not replace an unexpired first valid click. Attribution is fixed when the new account is created and cannot be added, transferred, or changed retroactively.
A Referred Customermust be a genuinely new individual SchoolIntel user who creates a new account after the valid click. An existing or previously registered user, account recovery, invited seat, additional member, duplicate account, self-referral, or person already associated with the partner’s organization is not a Referred Customer.
For Affiliate commission, the referred customer organization is only the new owner organization SchoolIntel provisions for that new user at signup. A pre-existing organization, organization transfer, additional seat, or later-created organization is not commissionable.
Attribution may be rejected if a link or click proof is forged, malformed, expired, revoked, duplicated, or associated with a suspended account. Link rotation prevents new clicks through the prior link but does not by itself change an already valid click or completed attribution.
3. Qualification, review, and dashboards
SchoolIntel may display Program activity as pending, earned/available, in review, rejected/void, reversed/adjusted, batched, or paid. A pending dashboard entry is not an earned credit or payable commission.
SchoolIntel may review activity for fraud, error, legal compliance, or Program integrity. Same email or business domain, similar device/network signals, disposable email, or unusual activity velocity may trigger review but will not, by itself, automatically disqualify an otherwise eligible referral. An attribution that would take one Referrer above 10 otherwise qualifying referrals in any rolling 30-day period enters review rather than automatic rejection. While an attribution is in review, both the Referred Customer’s signup credit and the Referrer’s activation credit are held and no promotional credits are issued until SchoolIntel approves or rejects the attribution.
SchoolIntel may approve, reject, or override reviewed activity based on available evidence and will record a reason. We may mask a Referred Customer’s identity and withhold risk, security, or personal information from Program dashboards.
4. Referral promotional credits
For a valid Referrer attribution under Program version 1:
- The Referred Customer receives 1,000 extra promotional credits when their fresh attributed signup is completed, unless the attribution is held for review under Section 3. A reviewed signup receives the credit only after approval.
- The Referrer receives 1,000 promotional creditsonly if that Referred Customer completes SchoolIntel onboarding and reaches SchoolIntel’s activation milestone within seven days after account creation, and any required Program review is approved.
SchoolIntel’s activation milestone is satisfied by the first qualifying product action designated in the Program, such as submitting a search, adding a pipeline item, opening a brief, sending a Copilot message, acting on a play, generating outreach, or generating an export. SchoolIntel records the first qualifying milestone in its systems. An advertising or analytics event alone does not create an entitlement to credits.
If both onboarding and activation are not completed in the seven-day window, the Referrer’s pending reward is rejected. The Referred Customer’s signup credit is not contingent on later activation, but it remains subject to abuse reversal.
Promotional credits:
- have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash;
- are nontransferable and may be used only in the organization to which they were granted;
- are consumed before monthly subscription-cycle credits;
- survive monthly cycle replacement and remain until used or the receiving account or organization closes; and
- may be reversed through an account adjustment if the underlying activity was fraudulent, abusive, erroneous, refunded where relevant, or otherwise ineligible.
Credits do not guarantee continued access to paid SchoolIntel features and do not extend or replace a subscription entitlement.
5. Affiliate commission
For an approved Affiliate attribution under Program version 1, SchoolIntel pays 20% of Eligible Net Subscription Cash actually collected from the referred customer organization’s first six qualifying paid monthly subscription invoices, subject to a $1,000 USD lifetime commission cap for that organization.
Eligible Net Subscription Cash means cash actually collected for qualifying recurring SchoolIntel subscription service, excluding:
- sales, use, value-added, and similar taxes;
- coupons, promotions, and other discounts;
- account, service, or invoice credits;
- refunds, reversals, disputes, and chargebacks; and
- non-recurring charges, one-time purchases, top-ups, services, seat-only charges, prorations that do not represent a qualifying monthly subscription invoice, and other excluded items.
Stripe or other payment-processing fees are not deducted when calculating Eligible Net Subscription Cash.
Only a fully paid monthly invoice with positive Eligible Net Subscription Cash counts toward the six-invoice limit. A zero-cash, trial, annual, one-time, proration-only, or ineligible invoice does not count. No commission accrues on a seventh qualifying invoice or after the $1,000 organization cap is reached.
Each positive commission accrual remains pending for 30 days after SchoolIntel collects the applicable cash. At the end of that hold, it may become available if there has been no refund, dispute, chargeback, fraud determination, policy breach, or other disqualifying event.
If a refund, dispute, chargeback, credit, error, or ineligibility occurs, SchoolIntel may append a negative adjustment or void a pending amount. A negative balance may offset future commission. Original accrual and adjustment records remain in the Program ledger and are not rewritten to conceal the change.
6. Affiliate payouts, tax, and payment information
Commission is calculated and paid in United States dollars. SchoolIntel normally creates payout batches monthly. An Affiliate must have at least $100 USD of approved, available commission to be included. A smaller balance carries forward without interest.
SchoolIntel may make a below-minimum final payout once per year or when the Affiliate account or Program participation terminates, after applying all holds, adjustments, legal requirements, and reasonable administrative checks.
A payout is not complete merely because a dashboard entry or CSV batch says it was created or exported. It is paid only when SchoolIntel confirms payment through the approved external payout process and records an external reference.
You are responsible for all taxes, reporting, registrations, and charges arising from your commission. Before payouts begin, SchoolIntel will designate the external payout provider and the party responsible for required identity/tax collection, withholding, information reporting, and sanctions screening. SchoolIntel may require completion of that process before payment and may withhold payment where documentation or law requires. Required bank or tax information will be collected by the approved external payout provider, not stored in SchoolIntel’s Program database or included in SchoolIntel payout CSVs. The external provider’s terms and privacy notice govern its handling of that data.
SchoolIntel may withhold or report amounts where required by law. You must keep your external payout account and payee reference accurate. SchoolIntel is not responsible for delay caused by inaccurate information, provider review, sanctions screening, missing tax documentation, or events outside its reasonable control.
7. Required disclosure of your material connection
Whenever you mention, recommend, review, or link to SchoolIntel in a context where people may not reasonably expect that you can receive credits or commission, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose that material connection.
The disclosure must:
- appear close to and, where practicable, before the recommendation and Program link;
- be noticeable, readable, understandable to the ordinary audience, and presented in the same language as the promotion;
- remain visible without requiring a person to open a profile, terms page, footer, collapsed section, or unrelated hyperlink;
- be spoken and shown on screen where the promotion is audiovisual; and
- be made in addition to a platform’s disclosure tool when the tool alone may not communicate the connection clearly.
Examples that may be appropriate when accurate:
- Referrer: “I may receive SchoolIntel credits if you sign up and activate through this link.”
- Affiliate: “I may earn a commission if you buy SchoolIntel through this link.”
Labels such as “affiliate link,” “partner,” “commissionable link,” “thanks SchoolIntel,” or a personalized code may not adequately explain that you receive a benefit. You are responsible for adapting disclosure to the medium and applicable law. SchoolIntel may provide guidance, training, or examples, but you remain responsible for each promotion.
8. Truthful claims, endorsements, and reviews
Your statements must be truthful, current, substantiated where required, and based on your genuine experience. You may not:
- make a claim about SchoolIntel’s features, accuracy, outcomes, pricing, savings, customers, legal compliance, security, or comparative performance that is false, misleading, unsubstantiated, or inconsistent with current SchoolIntel materials;
- claim to be SchoolIntel, an employee, an exclusive or authorized sales agent, or able to change SchoolIntel terms, pricing, warranties, or commitments;
- create, buy, sell, publish, or arrange a fake or false review, testimonial, endorsement, customer identity, engagement metric, follower, view, or other indicator of influence;
- use AI, actors, insiders, employees, relatives, or fabricated identities to misrepresent a genuine independent customer experience;
- offer or condition compensation, a benefit, or Program activity on a positive or negative review or particular sentiment; or
- suppress, threaten, intimidate, or improperly discourage an honest negative review.
Program credits and commission reward qualifying referral or subscription activity, not a review or a particular opinion. If you do publish a review, it must comply with this section and the disclosure requirements above.
9. Prohibited promotion and abuse
You must not, directly or through another person or tool:
- Refer yourself; create duplicate, synthetic, controlled, or misleading accounts; refer an existing user; move an existing customer into a new account; add a seat to manufacture attribution; or coordinate reciprocal or circular referrals.
- Forge, alter, guess, scrape, inject, overwrite, or misuse a Program link, code, click proof, cookie, attribution record, event, invoice, commission, or payout.
- Use cookie stuffing, invisible pixels/iframes, forced clicks, automatic redirects, pop-ups/pop-unders, adware, browser extensions, toolbars, malware, scripts, or any mechanism that places or replaces attribution without an intentional click by an informed person.
- Send spam or unlawful unsolicited messages; use a purchased, harvested, or improperly obtained list; conceal sender identity; use deceptive subject lines; omit legally required advertising, address, consent, or unsubscribe information; or ignore opt-out, suppression, or do-not-contact requests.
- Bid on, purchase, or target SchoolIntel’s name, trademarks, product names, domains, confusing misspellings, or close variants in paid search, app-store, social, domain, or keyword advertising without prior written approval.
- Register or use a domain, subdomain, social handle, app, business name, metadata, creative, or page that impersonates SchoolIntel or is likely to confuse people about source, sponsorship, or ownership.
- Intercept SchoolIntel organic traffic, misrepresent price or scarcity, use deceptive buttons or download links, or place the link on unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Offer unapproved cash-back, rebate, coupon, credit sharing, sweepstakes, or other incentive tied to the Program link.
- Violate privacy, marketing, anti-spam, consumer-protection, sanctions, export, intellectual-property, platform, or other applicable law or rule.
You must stop a prohibited campaign and provide reasonable compliance evidence if SchoolIntel requests it. You are responsible for activity performed by your staff, contractors, agencies, automation, or accounts on your behalf.
10. Brand and intellectual property
Subject to this Program Policy, SchoolIntel grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, nontransferable right during active participation to use approved SchoolIntel names and assets solely to identify and link to SchoolIntel. You must follow current brand guidance and any removal request.
You receive no ownership or other right in SchoolIntel intellectual property. You may not alter logos, imply endorsement beyond Program participation, create derivative branding, challenge SchoolIntel rights, or use SchoolIntel marks in a domain, company name, product name, paid keyword, or social identity without prior written approval. All goodwill from permitted use benefits SchoolIntel.
11. Privacy and tracking
Program links use a first-party attribution mechanism that records an intentional click and may set an opaque cookie for up to 90 days. SchoolIntel may process the link/click identifier, timestamps, limited landing metadata, the resulting account and organization identifiers, product-qualification milestones, subscription and invoice information, Program states, and privacy-protected network/device signals to administer the Program, prevent abuse, calculate value, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
SchoolIntel does not use PostHog or similar advertising analytics as the financial source of truth. Program dashboards may use aggregated or masked information and will not expose fraud signals or another person’s unnecessary personal information. SchoolIntel’s Privacy Policy and cookie disclosures explain our processing and rights available to individuals.
You may not collect, append, sell, disclose, or use a Referred Customer’s personal information through the Program except as lawfully obtained and necessary for your own compliant communication. You must maintain an appropriate privacy notice and security safeguards for data you independently process. You may not attempt to identify masked customers or risk signals.
SchoolIntel’s Program systems and payout CSVs do not store or export bank-account or taxpayer identifiers. An approved external payout provider may process those identifiers under its own privacy terms and SchoolIntel’s vendor arrangements.
12. Monitoring, suspension, and termination
SchoolIntel may monitor Program links, public promotions, complaints, attribution, account/product milestones, billing events, and risk signals to operate and protect the Program. We may request records reasonably necessary to verify compliance, including where and how you promoted SchoolIntel and displayed disclosures.
SchoolIntel may reject activity, hold value, rotate or disable links, suspend new attribution, or suspend or terminate participation if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, error, legal or policy risk, misleading promotion, nonpayment, security risk, or breach of this Program Policy or another SchoolIntel agreement. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to respond; urgent protection may occur immediately.
You may request termination through SchoolIntel support. Termination stops new attribution. Subject to review, adjustment, the payout minimum exception, required documentation, and applicable law, eligible value earned before termination may be paid or retained for final processing. Fraudulent, abusive, erroneous, unqualified, or unlawful value may be rejected, voided, reversed, offset, or withheld. Promotional credits are not payable in cash on termination.
Sections concerning accrued adjustments, payment/tax obligations, disclosure, truthful claims, intellectual property, privacy, audit, remedies, and interpretation survive to the extent necessary to enforce them.
13. Program changes
SchoolIntel may change or end a Program prospectively. Material changes will be published as a new Program or policy version and communicated as required by the Terms of Service or applicable law. We may require acceptance before you continue to generate new attribution.
Changes do not rewrite the snapshotted economics of a valid historical attribution, earned referral reward, or affiliate accrual, except for an adjustment permitted by the version that governed it. No dashboard or administrator can arbitrarily edit Program version 1 economics. Operational changes needed to prevent fraud, comply with law, or protect security may take effect immediately, but SchoolIntel will preserve the Program ledger and applicable review rights.
14. Records, interpretation, and contact
SchoolIntel’s Program records determine link clicks, attribution, milestones, eligible net cash, invoice ordinals, caps, credits, adjustments, and payout state, subject to correction of demonstrated error. Analytics reports and third-party screenshots do not independently create entitlement.
SchoolIntel may interpret this Program Policy reasonably and consistently with its Terms of Service and applicable law. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted.
Questions, compliance reports, or disputes about the Program may be sent to:
